WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Car prowler takes accessories

The photos are from a texter whose Jeep was prowled on the northeast end of Fauntleroy, along the west end of the West Seattle Bridge.

“They took the tools to take apart a Jeep. Also the tool to take the spare tire off the rear. Everything else is replaceable. They took the whole glove compartment too.” If you find anything like that, let us know and we’ll connect you.

Fellow West Seattle Wrangler owner here– I’ve had mine broken into three times, and now I just have the glove compartment permanently removed and use the space to store my hoodie for driving top down during the fall. I also swapped the center console for a locking compartment. You can replace the Jeep toolkit online for about $30. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Thank you. Yeah, had my wrangler for 3 years and this is the 1st time this happened to me. Unexpected because I make sure to leave nothing valuable anywhere but a lesson learned. Already ordered the toolkit, researching what else I can do and I thought of getting rid of the compartment as well. Thanks for confirming that and appreciate your response.

This place is not safe! Wish I could leave!

Wrangler owner here as well. Did you have your doors off or did they take them too.

Sorry, comment time is over.
