The routing of busses through pioneer square is a complete and utter failure. I’d venture to guess that coming from Admiral area 80% of this commute takes place once we get off the Dearborn exit. The powers that be need to get creative and do something.

@Quora, I couldn’t agree more! I think the people who plan the routes should be forced to take those routes for two years solid. Exclusively those routes. No personal transportation. They need to put themselves in the shoes of those who’s only mode of transportation is Metro. We’re forced to take these horrible, inconvenient routes, they should be forced to do the same. Maybe, just maybe, they’ll get a clue.

      Congestion tolling sounds good.

Competent transit planning sounds better. Stop advocating for band-aids that introduce more unintended consequences.

How about more bus only lanes?

  • David March 27, 2019 (9:09 am)

21x has been stuck trying to turn right on Dearborn for 10 minutes new. Yes I agree this routing is a clusterfork.

    • Seriously? March 27, 2019 (9:44 am)

      @David lol, “clusterfork!” Love it!

Haha, what happened to all the webcams? They are mostly at night time!

    • WSB March 27, 2019 (11:29 am)

Not in my view. Try clearing your browser cache?

      • newnative March 27, 2019 (3:11 pm)

It’s fixed now. But I didn’t have to clear my cache.

        • WSB March 27, 2019 (3:22 pm)

Great. Well, I checked two minutes after your comment and they were up to date, all daylight. Maybe some weird shortlived city glitch. We do use caching software but since these cameras update every few minutes you shouldn’t get stuck on an hours-old image even if the text didn’t change … TR

I agree too. How do we get somebody at Metro to listen? Sending them comments never gets past a customer service no-reply generated email.I agree the planners definitely don’t ride our West Seattle routes during rush hour. If they do, they must really love idling on a jam packed bus in general traffic :)

Twitter seems to work well – yesterday I got a response in about 20 minutes. Their handle is @kcmetrobus.

Seems like the water taxi switched schedules a day earlier than the website lists. No 3:05 ride today.

  • Mike B March 27, 2019 (3:48 pm)

And now NO water taxi shuttles to junction or Alki! What a mess today.

Was waiting for a 56 this morning and it blew past without stopping. I was standing right next to the curb and waved my arms….Just now i was waiting for a 56 downtown and it blew past the Columbia stop without stopping. A lot of people were there waiting for that bus. There was clearly still room… This is infuriating. I cut the drivers and metro some slack, but TWICE in a day! C’mon

Sorry, comment time is over.
