West Seattle’s biggest party of the year, Summer Fest in The Junction, is only two months away – July 13, 14, 15. And a quick check of the official Summer Fest website reveals that the deadline for vendor applications is today. Find the applications online, here.
Do you know that the West Seattle Summer Festival Committee is committing “demographic discrimination” by kicking out vendors who have been with them for years because the vendors do not live in West Seattle? As a citizen who lives in West Seattle do you only want to buy from vendors who live in West Seattle or do you want to make your own choices and buy from the vendor who has the best product for the best price? Do you think demographic discrimination is fair? I thought we were trying to get away from all types of discrimination. This is just another type but just as unfair.
