Had a rice cake scone (some kind of wedding cake was the name) which was gluten free (not that I need it, I like to taste gluten-free foods now and then to see what the difference in taste is) and mixed with crushed walnuts and cardamon in just the right amount. It was sturdy, bit off in chunks and squished down to just the right mash while chewing. It was quite tasty. Someone earlier had somewhat complained to me (I was tabling for Sustainable West Seattle just outside the market area on the alley) that Flying Apron products looked like masses of dough. I bought the one item which looked most like that description – this cardamon wedding cake scone – and it was nutricious and tasty. Needed to see if the appearance was a mis-match for the product. That may be the case with Flying Apron. Their goods are quite good (I’ve also had their brownie and raspberry crumble thingy) but they are on the “rugged side” of looks.

Anyway, a beautiful day at the market. More than the usual diehards were there. A good day for the farmers and merchants, too.

I had a Flying Apron cinnamon roll at the market for the first time on Sunday. Wow! It was sturdy on the outside, but moist and sugary and full of walnuts on the inside. Now I crave another one.

Sorry, comment time is over.
