JanS: Are you applying a double standard? You say that there is no evidence that Hillary ever did anything illegal, yet you support the conviction of Trump because of unsubstantiated rumors that he knows Putin? I don’t see why it would be a problem for the US to have relations with Russia anyway instead of another period of cold war wastage? Hillary’s close connections (including Bill) had long time relations with the USSR before they got into politics: http://www.aim.org/media-monitor/bill-clintons-soviet-connection/

JoB: Most of what you say is the result of political brainwashing through leftist controlled media channels. It was your choice to limit your knowledge to a propaganda ministry. Sorry, I can’t help you understand that you are being manipulated. You have to make the decision yourself to look beyond the curtain of lies.

You parroted from a KUOW radio show: “the Chinese American community are supporting Trump.. not because they think he would be good for America but because they think he would be bad for America and that would be good for China….”

Think about it. Are you really accusing Chinese-Americans of trying to trash the country they made their home? Wow, you are really missing some gears in your head. The KUOW news story you sited is a stupid leftist hit piece (http://kuow.org/post/trump-has-fans-among-chinese-us-and-abroad ). They report about Chinese Americans are for Trump, but interview a pro-China foreign Chinese student at the UW? Here is the real story behind the flying banners if you had bothered to investigate the truth:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib6cH-2jLyQ

In fairness to KUOW, they at least provided this link in the online version of the story: http://www.aim.org/media-monitor/bill-clintons-soviet-connection/

Chinese-Americans are statistically the smartest people on the planet because the best of the best emigrated here. (Look it up–Chinese have the highest IQ on average.) Chinese-Americans for Trump want fair trade and freedom to preserve what they came here for. They don’t want or need socialist big government because they are willing to work. Your BIGOTED accusation that Chinese-Americans want to destroy the US for the benefit of China is, well, just deplorable and ignorant of fact.

JoB, you really need to examine your critical thinking process and stop letting the political establishment control your mind.

dave: and you need to stop letting a rich (but possibly bankrupt – who knows? he won’t release his tax returns), foul-mouthed moonbat control your mind.

but your mental gymnastics are pretty amusing. thank you!

we could boil this down and kind of bring it back to the original topic:

if only women were allowed to vote in the election, trump would

    a. win in a landslide
    b. lose in a landslide
    c. split the popular/electoral vote
    d. none of the above

extra credit for supporting your answer with polling data.

    thanks for playing!

redblack: If only the productive people who start and build businesses that employ and create wide-spread prosperity in this country were to vote, who do you think they would choose? Bonus points if you actually vote for a candidate that supports our constitution father than a corrupt wall-street owned socialist in a pant suit.

    Captain Dave..

    hmmm.. I have been brainwashed?
    I think not.

I didn’t need anyone to tell me that when Donald Trump calls one of his own supporters names and throws him out of a rally because he assumes that a black man must be against him that Donald Trump does not respect black men equally…

funny.. i didn’t need a filter for code words to figure that one out.

nor did i need a filter for code words to figure out that the names he has called several female public figures.. including Ruth Bader Ginsberg .. indicated that he didn’t have much respect for successful women.

we could keep going down the list if you would like.. but the truth is that the only way anyone could think that Donald Trump had no respect for anyone but white males is if they put a filter on his actual words… and even then it has to be a pretty big filter to get past his saying that if he ran for President he would do so as a Republican because they were stupid.

You want me to take the man at his word? i have literally done so.. and his words convict him.

    his words.. not anyone else’s

btw Captain Dave.. i didn’t choose what to include in the NPR story.. I merely repeated it..

but i do question your ability to see the irony in calling a source that links to a right wing think tank op ed piece as proof of the “real” story a biased leftist news source.

JoB: if your canned political rhetoric were true, why are minorities supporting Trump in record numbers over past republican candidates?

This is perhaps one of the biggest embarrassments for the DNC. You probably won’t see any official data about this for many weeks after the election. So go ahead and tell me how wrong I am and then come back and review your statements in a month or so.

In anticipation of your dietary needs, here is a list of recipes for you again: http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,crow,FF.html I have never had the occasion to try any of these, but some of them might actually be good!

“but i do question your ability to see the irony in calling a source that links to a right wing think tank op ed piece as proof of the “real” story a biased leftist news source.”

How is it irony when the interview is directly with the group in question?

dave: this country is composed more of working people than it is composed of people who dream of getting rich and not working.

in other words, jobs are far more valuable than money to us common folks.

and, no, we don’t need tax cheats to “create jobs” any more than we want the gubmint to be an employer of record. although i’m sure you’ll seize on some talking point meme here and tell me how we should be kissing rich people’s asses for the very air we breathe…

    polluted or not.

I hope you lefties already cast your votes for Hillary because I would hate to think any of my neighbors would knowingly vote for such a nasty criminal:

BREAKING BOMBSHELL: NYPD Blows Whistle on New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes with Children, Child Exploitation, Pay to Play, Perjury

Looks like the NYPD is doing their job to root out crime despite Hillary buying off the DOJ.

If you did already vote, maybe it would be best not to read the link and stay away from the news until after the election so you can tell your friends that you just didn’t know.

Good god, I get crap a few weeks back for posting an article from Snopes, a longtime well-respected urban legends reference page, that cites its sources, and the person that gave me that crap cites conspiracy theory websites as his sources.

I finally got a chance to watch “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party”–a recently released documentary. I thought it was quite good and full of a lot of surprising historical facts (things you can easily verify). You can watch it online at Amazon for a few bucks. I highly recommend it to anyone feeling a little bewildered about our current state of affairs. It gives some explanation to why there is currently such a polarized situation in our society. (don’t worry, it has nothing to do with religion). It helps if you have some understanding of US history to fill in the gaps. It’s obviously not a very flattering view of Hillary Clinton, but for people who want to know more than just the typical “Democrats are good, Republicans are bad” political narrative, it’s a worthwhile film to see before you vote. It gives a real foundation to the “nasty woman” claim.

JoB: Convicted felon Dinesh d’Souza has been denounced even by conservatives as a shameless hustler going back to 1995 with his insightful tome,

      The End Of Racism

I admit that simply being convicted and imprisoned for illegal campaign contributions doesn’t in and of itself disqualify d’Souza as a reputable political analyst, but it does invite one to ponder how is it even possible for a reasonably intelligent person to foul up a simple procedure like that given the leeway afforded by current campaign finance laws. I mean, really.
That said, there are many in the Alt Right sector who embrace Ted Kaczynski’s Manifesto as a credible assessment of liberal politics. I suspect there are participants in this very Forum who have drawn inspiration from Ted’s work. At least some of their characterizations of “how liberal socialists think” bear a striking similarity. As has been said, “great minds think alike.”

None of that is intended to draw a parallel between d’Souza and Kacsynski, instead they each serve as illustrations of what passes for thoughtful commentary in some circles.

i spent the weekend in Trump country..
the yard signs change abruptly upon leaving Seattle metro :(

worse, i spent the weekend with someone who actually believes every slander written about Hillary and liberals and felt comfortable enough to express the hatred generated by that belief in front of me.

I listened as every bereavement call made to her degenerated into one or another rant against “those” people.

before i left i told her that i was one of “those” people..
and she said.. not you.. i don’t mean you.

    i left feeling incredibly sad..
and not so secure about tuesday’s election.

JTB: While d’Souza may be a convict, many of the tidbits in his documentary were easy to verify.

So I have to ask, how can anyone trust a woman who’s mentor was a protege and advocate of Al Capone?

Another thing that makes Hillary potentially even more of a “nasty women” is her association with people who are into occult rituals. Even snopes admits John Podesta has been a fan of an satanic occult artist, Marina Abramovic for many years: http://www.snopes.com/john-podesta-spirit-cooking/ Hillary’s long-time association with demented people like Jeffrey Epstein and Anthony Weiner is troubling.

Of course, we all know about Hillary’s white house seance episodes that Bill joked about years ago. I can see why some people think of Hillary as some sort of “high priestess” of the occult. It just seems like a bunch of sick and twisted stupid stuff that I certainly would not want our future president involved with. I don’t want to offend anyone here. What you do in your own home is your business (Unless you are running for political office and have access to nuclear launch codes, that is).

I can now really see what Trump means by “drain the swamp”.

JoB: It sounds like what you experienced was the rest of the country. I don’t know if it is one third half, or two thirds, but it is significant. Being in the high-end turing business, I entertain people from everywhere–both Trump and Hillary supporters. Everybody has their own reasons and perceptions about their candidates. I think irresponsible media bias has polarized the electorate to equalize the candidates and heighten convictions to pump their ratings.

You don’t see Trump signs in Seattle because they get quickly torn down. It doesn’t mean that there are no Trump supporters here (other than me, of course). Seattle just has a higher number of aggressive liberal activists that shout down their opposition–making it appear that liberalism is the vastly dominant consensus.

I have tried to bring perspective from the “other side” which is based by and large, on logic and reason rather than emotion. You have to realize Seattle is a bubble. What works here isn’t working for the rest of the country. Seattle is like Norway where we are benefiting by a net “tech” revenue surplus that is feeding in from the rest of the world. But this situation may not last forever. Reality has a funny way of creeping in as it did for places like Detroit and Baltimore.

We have the freedom to discuss these things today because a group of predominantly “white men” put forth the notion that all were created equal. I don’t want to see that change.

    Geez Captain Dave
how can you trust a man whose grandad was a criminal and dad was in the KKK ?
what kind of family values do you think they passed down to junior?

this notion that if you can find one tidbit of information that you think you can hang your hat on the whole argument must be right is frightening to me…

what happened to careful evaluation of the source so that you understand the biases the argument assumes without proving? What happened to verifying source material with actual evidence not innuendo? what happened to common sense?

it flew out the window when you let your emotions get the better of you.

the only argument for Trump is an emotional argument grounded in hatred…

and we know from history … that story doesn’t turn out well

JoB: I have a great uncle who was a wobbly. Does that make me a communist leftist? BTW: Why doesn’t Hillary give back the $20,000 in campaign money she received from the KKK? Maybe because she praises the late Senator Robert Byrd, a long-time KKK member and one of her close mentors. Please square up those values.

Your evaluation of the source seems to be that if it does not agree with your political narrative, it cannot be valid. I think your logic is faulty–perhaps nonexistent. Therefore, there is no way for you to understand the premise of “common sense”.

What happened to studying history to learn that criminal acts are predominantly evil? There is no shortage of evidence leading to such conclusions with the Clintons.

Dave..please explain…what criminal acts…yes, there’s google…but google hasn’t explained about indictments, trials that happened, convictions…so maybe you can educate us evil libtard commie, no common sense, poor logic, ignorants. So…please tell us what criminal acts…links to sources, and trials , etc. would be lovely…I have had a hard time finding them on the interwebs. But maybe I’m just too stupid to look in the right place…..there’s always that. And since you are the expert in all things Clinton, just thought I’d ask. Thanks .

and I have to admit…I did have a moment here learning about HRC’s connections to the occult…and then..I thought..ohferfuxache..what the f*&k is wrong with you? If you’re serious, you need help. And..you ARE serious. But…you do know that we don’t take you seriously, don’t you? You throw out stuff and hope it sticks. Now it’s occult rituals…tomorrow it will be something else. But deep down inside, we know your hatred of this woman is well, is because she’s just that…a woman. Argue all you want that it isn’t true. I won’t believe you.

Now..I’m sure you have another insult to throw at someone who disagrees with you…you’re good at that.
