Some people are saying that we should give Donald Trump a chance, that we should “work together” with him because he won the election and he is “everyone’s president.”
    This is my response:
•I will not forget how badly he and so many others treated former President Barack Obama for 8 years…
•I will not “work together” to build a wall.
•I will not “work together” to persecute Muslims.
•I will not “work together” to shut out refugees from countries where we destabilized their governments, no matter how bad they might have been, so that we could have something more agreeable to our oligarchy.
•I will not “work together” to lower taxes on the 1%.
•I will not “work together” to increase taxes on the middle class and poor.
•I will not “work together” to help Trump use the Presidency to line his pockets and those of his cronies.
•I will not “work together” to weaken and demolish environmental protection.
•I will not “work together” to sell American lands to companies which then despoil those lands.
•I will not “work together” to enable the killing in any way of whole species of animals just because they are predators, or inconvenient for a few, or because some people want to get their thrills killing them.
•I will not “work together” to remove civil rights from anyone.
•I will not “work together” to waste trillions more on our military when we already have the strongest in the world.
•I will not “work together” to alienate countries that have been our allies for as long as I have been alive.
•I will not “work together” to slash funding for education.
•I will not “work together” to take basic assistance from people who are at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder.
•I will not “work together” to allow torture and “black op” prison sites.
•I will not “work together” to “take their oil.”
•I will not “work together” to get rid of common sense regulations on guns.
•I will not “work together” to eliminate the minimum wage.
•I will not “work together” to support so-called “Right To Work” laws, or undermine, weaken or destroy Unions in any way.
•I will not “work together” to suppress scientific research, be it on climate change, fracking, or any other issue where a majority of scientists agree that Trump and his supporters are wrong on the facts.
•I will not “work together” to criminalize abortion or restrict health care for women.
•I will not “work together” to increase the number of nations that have nuclear weapons.
•I will not “work together” to put even more “big money” into politics.
•I will not “work together” to violate the Geneva Convention.
•I will not “work together” to give the Ku Klux Klan, the Nazi Party and white supremacists a seat at the table, or to normalize their hatred.
•I will not “work together” to deny health care to people who need it.
•I will not “work together” to increase the profits of the insurance companies.
•I will not “work together” to deny medical coverage to people on the basis of an alleged or actual “pre-existing condition.”
•I will not “work together” to increase voter suppression.
•I will not “work together” to normalize tyranny.
•I will not “work together” with anyone who is, or admires, tyrants and dictators.
•I will not “work together” with Donald Trump or anyone who supports him, because I will not allow one man to feed upon the fears of the populace, blaming minorities for their condition or their inability to thrive.
This is the line, and I am drawing it.
•I will stand for honesty, love, respect for all living beings, and for the beating heart that is the center of Life itself.
•I will use my voice and my hands, to reach out to the uninformed, and to anyone who will LISTEN for what’s really so dangerous about Donald Trump, his friends and the Big Lie they spin to the world:
That “winning”, “being great again”, “rich” or even “beautiful” is anything more than nothing… When others are sacrificed to glorify its existence.

While I respect your right to stand for what you believe in, these two statements confuse me.
and please don’t tell me that an abortion is a women’s right. If men could get pregnant and have abortions it would be a cardinal sin.
Some say a fetus isn’t a life? Isn’t yet a human. Well if it is not a life why does it continue to grow if it is not aborted. I was a fetus, you were a fetus, we all were.

Why should a fetus have more rights than a grown woman?
Most anti-choice people are hard core Christians.
I am sorry, I am not a christian and your beliefs should not trump my beliefs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA….if a man could get pregnant, birth control would be a necessity, pain medication would be guaranteed…I don’t think a man could handle it. And, WTH….who the hell are you, a man, to decide what a woman can and cannot do with her body. You CAN’T get pregnant…and you don’t get to decide for the rest of us. Good grief ! A fetus is not a baby, and if it’s so important to you to make women carry all babies to term, whether it kills the mom or not, you’d better be getting a huge home abd adopting the babies that are born. Oh, yeah….that’s right…you don’t give a rat’s behind if those children grow up in poverty, or if they are loved, or beaten, or abused…but they better damned well be born.

For now, it is a legal medical procedure for women, and until that changes, you simply need to accept that fact. Your moral indignation doesn’t count for anything….perfection (meaning you and your life) is very illusive, indeed. Just like your name, you are a dinosaur. Take care of yourself, and your business…stay out of other’s…thank you.

JanS, for the record, I was asking the question on the two statements that were made that seem to be conflicting.
I do not always disagree with abortion, as I understand there are circumstances that will occur when it is necessary. But using it as birth control is not excuse. And in my opinion that is how it is being used today.
Planned Parenthood also supplies birth control pills and devices to help with birth control. Women have all sorts of ways to PREVENT getting pregnant. Yet the majority of them are simply uneducated on the subject (lack of parenting) or they are simply too lazy to take care of it. NOT ALL, but most.
And no where did I ever say I was a man or a woman, I’ll leave that up to your imagination. My point was if the roles were reversed would women’s natural feelings about children and being a mother themselves make them think differently if men were the ones killing what you think is not a life.
We can agree to disagree but I think the entire “women’s right to do with my body as I see fit” is a myth based on a lawyers argument that convinced the supreme court to make the call they did. And I would imagine any woman who has had an abortion never felt good about it. I know a few of my friends are still haunted by the decision they made some 20 years later.
Why is that? Because it was a life.

Extremely few women use abortion as birth control. It is a myth to support a specious argument. For most people it is a difficult decision. While it is true PP provides birth control, if this administration has its way there will be no PP. Also, it is possible to get pregnant on birth control. It is possible to get pregnant by rape. It is possible to get pregnant by incest. It is possible to be pregnant, and for medical reasons, need to abort. For some, it may actually be economic. I wish all the people who want to protect an unborn fetus would be as diligent about caring for children born into poverty. Women are NOT hosts.

I find it interesting that abortion is the only thing T-Rex cares to discuss. Why is that the rallying point when there are so many worse things going on right now? Also, I wonder if his handle is an indication of how antiquated his thinking.

Dear TRex…if you believe it’s being used as birth control, you would be wrong, for the most part. It is not something one takes lightly.

also, not all women think their “job” in life is to be barefoot and pregnant, to be a mom..again, a stereotypical idea…

I’ve always maintained if you don’t have a womb at some point what you believe doesn’t matter when it comes to abortion or contraception. I support all women’s rights to make a decision about their bodies but that is it. I may be an aging white guy but it is not my place, and it never was, to tell a woman what to do with her body or decisions. Nor should any male.

Hey TRex, the logical extension of your spiritual but unscientific opinion about fetuses has an obvious, logical extension ipso facto

“Women have all sorts of ways to PREVENT getting pregnant. Yet the majority of them are simply uneducated on the subject (lack of parenting) or they are simply too lazy to take care of it. NOT ALL, but most.”

Have any factual statistics to back up that absurd and offensive claim of yours?

Of course not, it’s just a steaming pile of rubbish. Do you have any idea how emotionally and physically harmful an abortion can be? Of course not because you’d rather believe nonsensical talking points spewed to you by those who are equally clueless. To even consider a woman could use it as a form of birth control is simply mind blowingly dense. Study the issue, learn the factual statistics from independent (non-political) organizations, actually speak to women (if any are even willing to speak to you if you make your opinion, that’s all it is, known to them) and get a better grasp on the reality around you. There is NOTHING “convenient” about an abortion and to assume someone would prefer it over contraceptive measures (not counting masochists) is simply ludicrous.
