wheelchair?

is there someplace in West Seattle, that we could rent or borrow a wheelchair for a day or two. My MIL is 89 today, and we would love to take her on a tour of west seattle, and downtown, but she can’t walk that far. I would be very grateful for some info.

The Paralyzed Veteran’s of America in Burien has a loaner closet. They accept donations and also loan out equipment free of charge. The type of equipment they have varies, but they usually have some wheelchairs. I haven’t used them in a while, so you should probably call them first to make sure they are still doing this. You don’t need to be a paralyzed vet to borrow equipment.
