HappyPetsMemberI was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about dealing with a neighbor who is allegedly dealing drugs out of the apartment. Personally, what people do in their apartment is really none of my concern, but it is waking me up in the middle of the night, it’s outside my door, and it is making my other neighbors (who have also had enough) worried. It is now my problem, as well as our neighbors. These visitors have already ripped off our neighbor who is allegedly dealing, and we are worried they could cause other problems in our building. Luckily, there is no way to climb in my windows, but unfortunately that is not the case for some of my neighbors, and I feel they are in more danger than I am (I live with my boyfriend and dog). Our Landlord has spoken with him, but wants us to call the police anytime we see any suspicious activity. Does anyone know the best way to go about this? Calling 911 seems a little excessive (maybe if there were shots fired, but it has not been that out of control…yet).

jMemberI personally don’t feel that 911 is too excessive. If there is something sketchy going on where you worry about your safety, you need to call 911. Just think, one of these times, someone may come for your neighbor, but head towards the wrong apartment.

HappyPetsMembergood point! If not me, it could be someone else (his other next door neighbor is an older gentleman).

pamMemberThey will (probably) ask you to document the times people are coming and if you can get license plate numbers if you can see the cars. It’ll help them know when they are more likely to catch someone in the act.
