I just found an antique (~1930’s) singer sewing machine that I want to try and service for use — but need some help assessing what would be required. It looks to be in great shape — but old wires with knee bar instead of foot pedal.

About 8 or 9 years ago I recall dropping my 1980’s sewing machine off at a residence near Alki for an annual tune-up.

I’ve lost the contact information. Might anyone know if this home-business is still active? I can’t find it on-line.

Or do you have another recommendation? Thanks in advance for your sewing machine service suggestions —

Have you already checked out AAA Sewing and Vacuum Repair in Top Hat?

By most accounts (pending forum members’ replies), it seems to be THE place around here. We don’t sew but did take our vacuum there recently and they fixed it quickly/reasonably.

I’ll second AAA Sewing and Vacuum. They are totally awesome! I too have had vacuums repaired there, if the shop I bought my sewing machine from wasn’t local, I would take my machine there to be serviced.

I would not hesitate to go to AAA Sewing and Vacuum. They are excellent.
