Where can I have breakfast on weekdays, before 9a? Prefer the south end, but willing to travel north.

Endolyne Joe’s has weekday 5$ breakfast specials. Since you said south end – Huckleberry Square in Burien is good too.

Someone may be able to help me with the name of this place. It is “no frills” and nuthin fancy; but if you want breakfast basics at a good price, there is on 16th Ave. just north of Roxbury on the west side of the street a place that is always a-buzz. Friendly folks, filling plates of food and bottomless coffee. Usually a local police officer is stopping in for a meal.

Sounds like Youngs to me. They have tasty bisquits and gravy.

Yes, thanks Mike and catlady, it is Youngs. I’ve never had the biscuits and gravy; which gives me another reason to go back!

Two of my favorite weekday breakfast spots:

    – Charlestown Cafe (the cornmeal waffle is incredible, and their variations on eggs benedict are good, too)

    – Luna Park Cafe (I love the “piles” – hashbrowns topped with omelet goodies and fried eggs)

Well, Easy Street is my favorite. It’s nice to have the garage door open, listen to good music, and the waitresses are fun. Food is perfect diner food and it doesn’t give me a stomachache. Coffee’s good, too.
