Our neighbor spends a ton of time maintaining the end of our street with painted arrows to mark a speed bump and a reference on the bump that it is a private road (don’t debate or beat me up about it please, there is even a city street sign that says as much).

Twice now someone has come through and spray painted in black over the word “Private”. This really pisses me off. Stop vandalizing the road. Stop making him repaint, stop making it look gross and messy with your haphazard spray painting. It is just rude.

It also does not change the fact that the road is private, that the homeowners property line goes to the center of the road, that we paid to have it paved, that we pay to maintain it and seal it annually. Spraying over the word changes none of that it just makes someone do more work.
