HunterGParticipantThis evening (11/6, at roughly 7:15p.m.) while walking to the 76 gas station at Fauntleroy and 47th ave SW, I saw two young white males go into the apartment building directly behind the 76 station, and within two minutes they exited QUICKLY and ran across the street into the dark park with a familiar white dog on his leash.
I yelled out “Hey! Stop! Is that your dog?!?” to which they just ran faster. But, I had no cell phone, was alone and it was dark so I did not make chase. If it was light I probably would have. I didn’t call the police because I was not 100% positive, but I have a gut suspicion.
I made an individual aware of what just happened who lives in the building that pulled up into her parking space just after the incident.
This dog looks like the Spuds Makenzie Budwieser dog (the breed name escapes me), is pure white and adolescent male. I have met the dog’s owner who is an injured Iraq Vet, and these two young men were definitely not the owner.
Keep your eye out! I know that often when purebreds are stolen, they are sold to get money for the purchase of lacivious products.
Description of the men: white males, light features, 17-23 years old, wearing all black, backpacks and hats. Slender build, one was about 5’5″ and the other was around 5’7″ or 8″. It looked as if they had a key to this building, so they may know one of the tenants, or possible live there.
If you hear of anyone trying to sell this type of dog that is NOT a breeder please report the police – the owner said the dog was chipped.
Thanks! And sorry for the long post, but I had to get it all in.

miwsParticipantHunterG, that type of dog is a Bull Terrier.
Here’s a link to a pic:
No need to apologize for the length of the post. Good on ya for caring. And very wise not to try to pursue these guys, no telling how they may have reacted, if more closely confronted.
