My dog began having repeated seizures and they immediately started her on anti-seizure medicine. She requires further diagnostics and treatment I’m unable to afford as I’m low income, applying for disability and only receive $197/mo from DSHS. I’ve had my baby since she was born and am doing everything I can to fight for her. She is otherwise 100% perfect health.

One thing you might look into is if the food you feed your dog has ROSEMARY extract in it. The herb appears to cause seizures in dogs. Our lab used to have a seizure every two to three months and since changing food they almost never happen and if they do they are extremely light.

Clark5080 – oh my gosh…who would have thought. She’s been on Costco/Kirkland Lamb Rice & vegetable for years and it DOES have rosemary extract. Thanks for the info!

This is unbelievable…I feel like a bad mommy especially if this is what’s causing her seizures.

Not only is it in her food, it’s in her Vita Bones – which she proudly requests each morning after going potty outside. Also in her organic pet shampoo!

Please don’t feel like a bad mommy! It’s clear that you love and care about your dog. How could you know about the rosemary? Best wishes for your sweet dog’s recovery. And three cheers to Furry Faces.

Donations may be made directly to
    Precious Pets Animal Crematory 253-929-8495 or 206-510-1351 – ID#00683

Oh, Muchlove, I’m so sorry for your loss. I just called and made a donation for the cremation. Unfortunately the woman isn’t in the office so did not have ID #s on her aND I don’t your name. When we discussed Furry Faces she was pretty sure who I was talking about. If some reason it got credited to someone else’s account, please let me know so I can fix that.

Thank you Sue. Your donation is appreciated more than you could imagine. I did contact Precious Pets and inform them donations may be made so it will be credited to my account.
    Thanks
