I’ve spent some time digging through the archives, looking for rave reviews of local restaurants that offer private or semi-private dining rooms for parties. I found lots of posts, but most of the spots are closed down.

My specific need is for 50-ish people, some under 21, on a Friday night. What do you know of (and love), Forum readers?

Not in West Seattle but I attended a really well done graduation dinner at Steelhead Diner near Pike Place. Meal was several courses and family style. My friends that hosted said it was a much better deal than individual meals. Food was phenomenal and pleased a crowd from 1 year old to 70-something. I think we had somewhere around 20 not sure if there’s space for 50 but worth looking into.

Duo’s on Avalon. Great food. Pretty ambience, and semi-private dining rooms(s?) off of the main area.

Just going on venue, Salty’s and Duke’s have nice, private spaces for large groups. Salty’s even does free limo transport for your party VIP(s). You could also cater through Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes at Fauntleroy Hall: http://www.tuxedosandtennisshoes.com/

I don’t know how big it is, but Ephesus has a private dining room (with a view) and their food is wonderful. I don’t think they sell liquor, just beer/wine if that makes a difference.
