Just got back from dinner at the Elliot Bay Brewery near the Junction for the first time (not really sure why we have never stopped in before), and that place has the BEST service we have experienced, maybe ever! I swear, the staff was so nice, our drinks were never empty, we were never waiting, it was amazing. Whether or not it was our server, the manager or any of the other servers they were constantly swooping by to bus our table or drop things off. It was awesome. The food was really good to but we will go back purely based on the service. Seriously.

I’m glad you had such a good experience!

EBB gets an inordinate amount of our dining out budget precisely for the reasons you mention :). Their service is outstanding, the food consistently good, and their beers (organic even!) outstanding. I’m partial to their Ahi tacos & Dry Hopped IPA myself.

We have been going there since they opened. The food has been consistently good (you really can’t go wrong, whatever you order), and the service has been excellent. All their beers are great, too! Best of all, we can walk home.

I want to like elliot bay brewery, I really do. Their food is decent pub fare and I usually end up with leftovers. Their chili is great! I’m not super crazy about their beer but I do like that I can walk there. The last time I was there I brought a couple of friends who were visiting from out of town, it was a Sunday night around 9-9:30 and they wanted to get a burger and a pint. We sat down and the wait person informed us that they weren’t serving food anymore and she’d just called “last call” (at a restaurant, an hour and a half before close). She let us know that we weren’t going to be served by walking away. We left awkwardly. It was weird. Maybe they were getting robbed when we walked in or something?

I got sick the last two times I’ve eaten there. :( I wanted to like it, and honestly think it was just bad luck/timing. I’m going to give it another shot after reading good reviews. Aside from becoming ill I had a positive experience there. I won’t hold it against them.

EBB btw is the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year, as announced at an event we covered a couple weeks ago.

I love EBB. I think it’s swell that families go there, reminds me of pubs in Great Britain. Just a great neighborhood place. I’m not crazy about the beer (I’m a lager fan, and most of their brews are a little too ‘smooth’ for me). The food is good, the service great. A perfect place to meet friends on a Sunday afternoon. Thumbs up!

We are EBB regulars. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that we eat there about once a week, but they are so welcoming to families that it is hard to go anywhere else. They have a great kids menu and we are never disappointed by the Alembic Pale Ale, burgers, nachos, ahi tacos and fajita chicken salad (to name just a few of the tasty staples). I am, at this moment, enjoy Alembic at home thanks to their growlers of beer to go – fantastic!

On a side note – why do people feel the need to chime in with negativity in response to someone else’s rave? Seriously, what is with the buzz kills who feel the need to trash local businesses and discount positive reviews? So what if you had a bad experience somewhere, can’t you let it go and let people who are happy enjoy their happiness? (rhetorical question).
