Preschool lead faciliator needed for summer and possibly fall

The Cove has an opportunity for a part-time summer position that could grow into more hours and a September position.

Wouldn’t you rather be in a preschool environment where you learn more about yourself and from the people around you (adult and children alike) than playing the adult who teaches content to others? Did you get a degree in a specific field so you could retain all that content or did you go to college so you could interact with a diverse group of learners, recover from failure quickly, learn how to face adversity, problem solve and persevere.

At The Cove, our children, families and facilitators work together to execute an intention of a growth mindset and are motivated from within to create a better learning environment and community. In fact, those requiring a lot of extrinsic motivation and have a fixed mindset don’t last very long here. Nor do people who seek approval rather than share ideas and credit. When people with great ideas can be flexible, risk failure, be with their experience and learn from it- amazing things happen.

We will be honest; The Cove isn’t for everyone. If you are unable to see the opportunities in adversity or that all change begins with you, or if you are not proactive and won’t take initiative at the risk of failure, then we are probably not for you. But, if you can appreciate what is right in front of you and can wrap your head around innovative learning approaches that will change the future and in our eyes, the world then you need to apply.Now.

We hope you believe that you have a unique contribution to offer the world and an intention to live a life with purpose and meaning. This is for a minimum of 22 hours/week with multiple opportunities for more hours. Position begins at the end of August with the possibility of summer hours as well. The children range from 2.5-5 years old.
