NitroParticipantLooking for recommendations for a trustworthy place to take my car for oil changes, mileage maintainence visits and repairs. Would like to find one place to handle all those needs and would like to keep it in West Seattle, ideally. My warranty is up and I am so thankful not to have to drive to the dealer in Renton for service anymore !! Any recommendations would be great (or warnings to avoid certain places). I have a Hyundai if that matters.
I know there are older posts on this, but wanted to hear any recent recommendations. Thank you!!!!

JanSParticipantyou might try the guys at Harrah’s Automotive, in the Admiral District – they’re right behind the old Blockbuster bldg, in the alley. Rick and Ron are great, honest, talented guys…cash only business…

DaveBParticipantSwedish Automotive is a good option, depending on your car make (besides Swedish cars, they also service Subarus and Minis).

dhgParticipantAlki Auto, right on Alki. I’ve heard really good things about them from others and so I took in my car a couple of times and asked about my tires and he says no, I’ve got another year left before they need replacement.

I’ve used a couple places in the area over the years, and these are the best mechanics I have every worked with. Chris, Todd, Nathan and Sam are top-notch wrenches, and they offer the most sincere, honest customer service I’ve ever experienced in a garage. Try them — you will not be disappointed. My only regret in recommending them is it can take a week or two to get your car in because they’ve developed quite a loyal following.

robirdaParticipantForeign Car Workshop has worked on my cars for over 10 years now. The owner Ryan and Chris a mechanic are just awesome. They know their work and you don’t have to have a foreign car to go there. Good Luck :?)

2krazy4wordsParticipantWEST SEATTLE AUTOMOTIVE!!!! Those guys are the best! Todd and Chris will explain everything in laymen’s terms and will prioritize recommendations. They fix what is NEEDED and suggest if something else might need to be looked at and the proper level of urgency. I love these guys!
