here’s my experience, and it has shown some positive results, although it might be late in the growing season for this tactic to work. i started in april.
as soon as i saw them leafing out, i cut them back, pulled as much as i could, and rooted the root balls that i found – which left me with a more barren patch of ground.
a couple of weeks later, new growth started from the root balls that i missed. so i dug out the root balls.
so far, i’m winning battles. but the war is far from over.
you could google for people who rent goats. (not to be confused with men who stare at goats.) the goat herders stake out your desirable plants, and the goats eat the rest.
