AMDParticipantWe have a LOT of work to do (replace side sewer and all of the old galvanized pipes inside the house–basically a full re-pipe) and are looking for recommendations for good plumbing contractors.

anonymeParticipantI don’t know if he does side sewers, but Joe the Plumber is great. Efficient, prompt, and reasonably priced.

sam-cParticipant(Does Joe the Plumber do that scale of a project? We’ve hired him for smaller things, here and there, and would definitely recommend him, but don’t know about a full house re-pipe.)
AMD- if you find a contractor that does a great job on all those things (galvanized pipe replacement and side sewer), will you come back and update? We are looking at doing some of the same things… Thanks!

WSBKeymasterPlease note that WSB’s lone plumbing sponsor, O’Neill Plumbing, does this kind of work. We had a side sewer problem (tree root) requiring a reroute many years ago and it’s still running perfectly. – TR

daisygParticipantWe have an old house and had a side sewer project done last spring. I highly recommend Green Planet Plumbing. They came recommended to me by a friend who had used them, and hands down, they are one of the best businesses I have ever worked with.
They responded quickly to my initial call, came out and gave me a thorough, detailed estimate, scheduled the job in a timely fashion. Gabe, who worked on our project was a specialist in this type of outdoor sewer repair.
I am one of those homeowners who asks a lot of questions when someone is working on our house, and he answered my questions every step-of-the-way, showed me what was happening with our pipes disintegrating (a six foot sink-hole had developed next to our house).
Our job was his only focus until completed.
We decided to put in a new cleanout in a more accessible place, and Tyler, the owner of Green Planet Plumbing delivered the cleanout to our house quickly, checked on the job, and took time to also talk with me about the project.
They left the job site spotless. They had to replace a concrete slab on our side porch, and the new slab looked WAY better than the old slab that had been there before!
All this, and their price was very reasonable.

CurateParticipantHave used Joe the Plumber on many different types of projects over the last decade. He is by far the best home-services contractor that I’ve ever worked with (in any field). Do not hesitate to give him a call. Fair, friendly, reliable, smart.

DianaParticipantI have been recommending O’Neill Plumbing for years. They did a very complex side sewer replacement (1923 Craftsman) and have done extensive re-plumbing as well. I continue to refer them and every time I do the response has been terrific. I highly recommend them for big jobs as well as small.

Talaki34ParticipantJoe the Plumber is an awesome plumber, but unfortunately he doesn’t do repiping. I wish he did because I need my pipes replaced.
