stenoscribeMemberHi! I am new to town. What is the best way to get to Marginal Way from West Seattle? Thanks for the tips.

CMCMemberI’m in the Morgan junction and my phone says West Seattle Bridge, 1st Ave S. exit, right on 4th, right on Lucile, right on E. Marginal, and it should be there on your right.
Just don’t know what’s going on with the 1st Ave S. exit with the construction. You may also be able to take the lower bridge if the 1st Ave S exit isn’t an option.

MrsLMemberI work across the street from Arena Sports and I take the low bridge.
Head east on the low bridge, turn right onto E Marginal Way S (there’s crazy construction there too but it’s passable). You’ll continue south on E Marginal Way S (pass the concrete plant on the right) and merge with traffic from 99.
Arena Sports will be on the left after the 2nd traffic light (Diagonal Way) but you can safely get there if you turn left at Diagonal Way (there’s a left turn signal) and turn right behind the office buildings (there’s a little alley accessing the office parking).

austinMemberThe usual google maps type directions are going to be wrong in this case due to the construction on spokane street and the 4th ave ramp.
The best way to that area really depends on which part of West seattle you’re coming from. If you’re north, the lower bridge to marginal way (coming from this way you’ll have to turn around as Arena Sports is on the opposite side of the road). If you’re south either the south park bridge or 1st ave bridge will be the best bet, depending on your starting point.

KBearParticipantKeep in mind there are 2 Marginal Ways (E and W), one of which is on the wrong side of the river from where you want to be.

MrsLMemberI work across the street from Arena Sports and I take the low bridge.
Head east on the low bridge and turn right onto E Marginal Way S (there’s construction going on around here too.) You’ll pass the concrete plant on your right, then you’ll merge with southbound 99 traffic.
After the 2nd light (Diagonal Way), Arena Sports will be on your left. To get there safely, I suggest turning left at Diagonal Way (there’s a left turn light) and turning right into the alley behind the office buildings, which provides access the office parking. If you miss that left, you can continue south to Hudson to turn left (also has a left turn light) and back track to Arena Sports. There is a left turn lane to turn directly into arena sports but trying to turn left without a light across 3 lanes of traffic can be difficult.

MrsLMemberSorry for the 2nd post of directions. I guess it takes awhile after editing for the post to show up.

cathywMemberAnother point, since you are new to West Seattle. Don’t feel bad if you get lost. Even people who have lived in this area for years (like me) still get confused under the Big Bridge near the Chelan Cafe.
