I would think mothers with children in strollers are totally qualified to use the “larger” stall. There is a reason why they are larger (the stalls, not the mothers :-)

Plus many times the diaper changing table is placed in the larger stall as well, yeah-me.

I just thought since the plates were permanent we could come up with something more discrete. I don’t see why something can’t be embedded in the computer (most cars have them now). Or maybe we could put up little parking meters and the person parking there could swipe a special card that authorizes them to park there.

not all disabled placards are permanent. There are temporary ones that expire in 6 months. And even the permanent ones have to be renewed every 5 years. The old fashioned placards and license plates may be the best option still.

Maude, please note that I said one of the difficulties of her condition was bladder control. It wasn’t the condition itself. If I recall correctly, she also used a wheelchair. Sorry, I didn’t state that part.

Also too, cards that are issued for minors are often hang tags and not a permanent plate as it’s expected that the minor will be very likely transported in multiple vehicles.

I think too that if people who designed bathroom stalls didn’t make the “standard” stalls so darn small (and make the doors swing out) people may not be so fast to use the handicapped one.

    agreed!

add a safety bar and a hook for your bag where you could reach it from the loo and i wouldn’t need a handicapped stall.
