Who has a great financial planner and why? I am aiming to get ready to plan for retirement and also want to be financially able to be more sound and fit in the $$$ department. Thanks!

He’s my go to guy – very knowledgeable, responsive, professional and also a WS local. He’ll meet you to discuss. I’ve been very happy with him.

I’m a huge fan of Tom Lyons with Edward Jones, proven smart investement and timing over the years.

And he is sincerly interested in your best interests.

We used Nancy Dienes at Goddard Financial Planning. Independent, fee-based planners with a no-nonsense approach (they are also fiduciary’s and are pledged to serve only the interest of their clients i.e. they don’t sell any products). I really liked the plan they came up with for us. It covered all the bases and utilized low cost funds. I also just discovered a website called Future Advisor that seems very interesting if you don’t want to pay the big fees of an independent planner. Worth checking out.

I agree with kayo. We have been with Goddard Financial Planning for seven years. Fee based, no products to sell. Really listen to what your goals are and your level of risk. Highly recommend them.
