I’m hearing lots of drag racing, but I can’t see it, below 35th, in the vicinity of the West Seattle Bridge. Admiral Way? Alki Ave? It’s happening every afternoon and evening, at this point. Anyone know?

West Marginal Way SW is a trouble spot for racing. Frequent police dispatches.

35th south of Roxbury is frequently used as a motorcycle drag strip. One dude on a blue crotch rocket is a particular problem.

The pollice dispatcher suggested upping the frequency of calls about drag racing to get them to take this seriously.

Speeding and racing has existed as long as cars have existed. I do have one question though. How are you measuring speed? Unless you have a radar gun or are pacing a car-meaning you’re going just as fast you’re just throwing out unsubstantiated numbers. Not very helpful. Safer roads will arise from facts and data not wild exaggerations

WSBridge last night 10pm in fairly light traffic, there were 3 cars after each other weaving in and out of all 3 lanes, often all 3 in one move. They had to be going 70 mph at least, if not more. I’m glad no one got bumped or rolled over in front of us. It felt like watching a computer game.
