I had an old cruddy BBQ grill/cooler that I’d like to get rid of, and I’m not sure if it’s a free recycle or a $30 disposal fee at the transfer station.

    Anyone know?

    Thanks!

Not sure on your question, but if it has any possibility of life left in it you might want to give it a token cleaning and try offering it for free on craigslist with a disclaimer about needing a bit of TLC. Perhaps it is beyond hope but could be worth a try.

It’s free recycle. I saw stuff in that pile the last time I was there which was maybe 30% recyclable, bbq’s included. If there’s metal, it’s recyclable. I dropped off fence posts that had concrete blocks attached. That was free.

I took my BBQ grill apart and recycled the metal parts. The recycle pick-up dude said that was fine…and he took it…

I’ve taken two different BBQs to the South Park Transfer Station with no charge.
