The first Christmas after C&T was closed I discovered that some of the laid off employees were selling trees at the Chubby and Tubby store site on Aurora Ave. Of course I made haste and went there for a tree. I was so happy to continue the tradition; I was all but weepy. I wanted to hug and thank those burly Carhartt clad guys for keeping it going but I knew I would begin sobbing and it all seemed inappropriate!!!
