Chimney repair or removal~who can you recommend for a job well done?

I recently discovered the mortar in the chimney (from the roof up)is in serious need of attention and am hoping to find recommendations of who to call, or not to as the case may be.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.

I highly recommend George Mack of Woodinville Chimney Sweeps. He has cleaned my chimney, etc. His website states he does tuck-pointing, which is what it sounds like you need. He has a website where you can contact him by email or his phone numbers are: 206-362-9308 or 425-672-7331. His prices are fair, he does good work and no pressure to do unnecessary work. He was referred to me by Sound Oil.

I recommend Emerald City Chimney, Inc. http://www.emeraldcitychimney.com 206-522-0290. They have done several projects for me; tuck pointing, re-build of the fire box, and do regular maintenance as well. Very skilled, good masons, fair pricing, and great to work with.
