tjw503MemberI’ve read through many of the previous threads on WSB relating to cell phone coverage in West Seattle and am wondering if anyone has any specific experience with coverage at places like Endolyne Joes, Fauntleroy Church/YMCA, or The Hall. I live very near those places and generally have very poor reception with T-Mobile at home and in all those places. Based on the previous threads, I’m thinking coverage will be poor from all the networks due to the ridge just above them, but I’m hoping someone has a different experience from one of the carriers.

BonnieParticipantI live up the hill from there and have coverage but if I am at the Hall at Fauntleroy or the Y I have no reception. I have T-Mobile. Back when I had AT&T I didn’t have reception either but that was years ago when I had problems. I have problems with T-Mobile at Pathfinder school too.

dhgParticipantI reported that problem to Tmobile back when it was voicestream. They sent out a car with two guys and electronic equipment to verify. They promised to fix the problem. Yet 10 years later….. Cingular was the first with good coverage and that is what is now called at&t

KevinParticipantATT put in a new tower about 5 years ago on top of Arbor Heights (42nd & 100th)

pigeonmomParticipantomg… coverage on or near the dock is abysmal.
I’ve called T-Mobile about it twice and twice they’ve done
NOTHING about it.
If you’re a T-Mobile customer, please call and complain, maybe they’ll listen to you!

BonnieParticipantI know this thread is old but I thought instead of starting a new thread I’d just respond. I was at Endolyne Joe’s last night and had zero coverage. (typical) My friends had Verizon and AT&T and both had coverage. I just can’t figure out why T-Mobile does nothing about this problem. If two other companies have coverage why can’t T-Mobile?

pigeonmomParticipantMy contract was up at T-Mobile and I kicked ’em to the curb.
I’m greatly impressed so far with the coverage, speed and service with Verizon.

pugpersonMemberDitto, pigeon mom. We could never get reception in our condo with T-mobile. With Verizon, no problems.

wakefloodParticipantI’ve lived within half a block of the ferry for 15+ yrs. and ATT has been better – lots better – than it used to be. It still has issues INSIDE Endolyne Joes – not sure why that is.

F16CrewChiefMemberI use to live down on 51st in Brace Point and my Sprint service was very spotty. Up around Endolyne Joe’s seemed okay with Sprint however. Now, Sprint definitely has some weird spots. I always tell people, I can be standing in the middle of a park and have four bars, but if I turn to say hello to someone, my signal will drop. Sprint is bizarro!
