Can’t remember if this has been mentioned before, one of these smart cars has been parked in front of my house for four days. I know I don’t “own” the space in front of my house, but this is the only parking we have. Do they have to follow the same no parking for more than 72 hours that other cars do?
I’ve emailed them about it, haven’t heard anything back yet.
A while back I contacted them asking what happens if someone parks a C2G on a side street and it sits there for a long time – they responded that usually they’re picked up within 2 days or so. They dodged the question about what happens if they’re not. Try them on Twitter – they do monitor their local account.
I’ve seen them send two people out to retrieve cars from my street in High Point. They tend to pile up I think when people drive them home or to visit someone but choose not to drive them outbound. It was a little weird until I realized what the guys were doing because they couldn’t get the car to unlock and I couldn’t tell if they had C2G logos on their clothes and couldn’t believe anyone would be dumb enough to break into/steal a C2G lol!
Interesting, tricky. I’ve used C2G one time, to come home from work in a hurry. I parked the little car in front of the house, and it sat there…and sat there…for two days. That’s when I contacted them. I was wondering if people from the C2G company would come and get it or if it would just sit until a user needed it. It ended up disappearing overnight, mysteriously…
