Marc et al – i feel particulaly pulled on this one. I was going to pay for a week just in case this was an outdoor cat that lost its way. The staff at the vet convinced me to shorten my offer 1- this very sweet cat was in a very dangerous location, 2- was hanging out on the sidewalk and has crossed a very busy intersection, 3-she was not chipped and while the fur had collar marks, there was no collar. Animal control will assure she is spade and at she gets chipped. I have 3 cats, all of which have chips AND are indoor only. My fear is the cat somehow escaped its home…. So rather than find a dead cat, i sent a message to the blog, paid for several dayS of the cat to be safe until the owner found it. If it were me, i would know my cat was missing after 8 hours and again if it were me, i would be frantically searching everywhere…. So the blog and notifying animal control were the best i could do. Not to be holy’er than tho…. Maybe this sweet cat will be adopted by a more caring family.
