Congratulations to Elliott Bay Brewery: “Business of the Year”

Patti Mullen of the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce tells us it’s OK to share the just-revealed news that Elliott Bay Brewery has been chosen the Chamber’s Business of the Year – so, congratulations, EBB! The award will be presented at a special breakfast event at Salty’s on Alki at 7:30 am April 8th, at which time Robinson Newspapers founder Jerry Robinson also will be honored with the Chamber’s Community Service Award. For tickets , contact the Chamber – 932-5685 (and wschamber.com) – and be sure to look out for copies of the shiny new Chamber-published West Seattle Community Resource Guide!

    Very cool. They deserve it!

I love their food, but their beer bloats me like nothing I’ve ever experienced–I won’t even drink the stuff. Too much information, I know. What is it about their beer–nitrogen taps, maybe?

As long as they never, never EVER get rid of the goat cheese salad with blueberries I promise to love them for life.

  • Traci March 11, 2009 (4:48 pm)

Oh also the brie plate, obviously. It’s one of the most addicting things I’ve ever eaten!

Way to go! Ditto: they deserve this honor.

Their Crumbled Bleu & Bacon and Hawaii 5-O burgers are killer. I love that place.

When it’s my 5 year old daughter’s pick for dinner out she picks EBB. She’s been ordering the Chicken Tenders without fail since she was 1.

  • YinWestwood March 11, 2009 (7:29 pm)

Oh yea… Congrats EBB! Here’s to many more years of celebrating with a glass or two on a Friday night after a long week of work.

I LOVE this place! Congrats to them! Haven’t had anything yet I don’t like. And Yin – your daughter has very sophisticated tastes – I’m 22 and I still order the chicken tenders… and a beer, of course… :)

Congrats! Their beer batter fish & chips are my comfort food.

Congrats to the Brewpub! I’ve been a patron since moving here almost a decade ago and am glad to see them recognized. My favorites are their Alembic Pale Ale along with the buffalo burger, Cobb salad (monstrous and delicious) and, not least, the fish & chips.

Yay for them! Great service and great food. West Seattle’s own Cheers Bar. I love the Ahi Tacos, and would kill for a jar of their chipotle aioli (any plans to sell it retail?). But I do miss their grilled veggie sandwich with swiss and hummus–mmmmmmm…

    Congratulations EBB!

I wish they’d bring back the habanero BBQ sauce they had around the holidays at the end of 2007. Brilliant stuff that I haven’t seen on the menu since.

EBB was the reason my fiance and I decided to settle in West Seattle after relocating from Pennsylvania. Nothing better than a cozy pub with good drinks and good food!

Bravo. EBB is the place where our whole family can eat/drink happily — the “kids’ platter” is the best kids’ menu option anywhere in town, all of their food is tasty and generously portioned, wait staff is great, and the beers (especially the dry-hopped pale ale; my favorite) are top-notch. Our out-of-town visitors love going there, too.

  • Larry Hindman March 14, 2009 (2:29 pm)

We have had the privilege of being at Elliot Bay one time on our trip to the Northwest….our son, Doug Hindman, is the brewemaster there and, of course, the beer was EXCELLENT, the food GREAT and the service SUPER….keep up the good work and keep making people HAPPY!!! Larry Hindman
