WS shooting arrest

Haven’t seen this on any of the newspaper sites, but Seattle Police confirmed for us that they have arrested a suspect in the 37th/Findlay shooting that killed Dewayne West. The suspect’s name is Jabarie Phillips. Police couldn’t share a lot of details but do say their original suspicion that this “wasn’t random” was indeed the case. Our research found that he, like the victim, is in his 30s, and has a criminal record stretching back into juvenilehood, most recently some sort of drug case dismissed less than two weeks ago. He is in the county jail, bail listed as a million dollars.

Looks like his 5th visit to KC Jail in the last year or so. But I am sure he is a real standup guy.

I bet he spent a lot of his childhood being told he is a good kid in a bad situation. Another victim of the “You’re a good kid and you can do anything you set your mind to. You can’t do anything wrong” thinking.
Or I could be wrong.

I am sorry Wes, but you are wrong. I don’t think you know anything about Jabarie, or what he was told when he was a kid. I do.

I also happen to know that you need more than a cell phone to connect someone to a crime. (Don’t take the lives of others so lightly.)

By the way, Jabarie had only one conviction in his life, which occured when he was a juvenile.
I think a very relevant point was made regarding dismissed case. In this society, you are inoccent until proven guilty. Not guilty, simply because you are charged with a crime.

Don’t believe everything you read in the papers. The Seattle P-I will be printing a retraction soon!

This probably isn’t even worth asking, but Mr. Phillips you state “I think a very relevant point was made regarding dismissed case”. What point are you talking about? Why would this be dismissed?

wes get a life. you always got some negative comment about things you read. you really are just another person with a lack of knowledge and a small mind. if the p.i. told you that you aren’t alive you would believe that. like i keep saying ignorance is bliss. get your facts straight before you pass judgement. unlike you i know you also got problems and you definately are not perfect. But then again you just may be god
