FOLLOWUP: Delridge Playfield, unfenced

Thanks to Jay for the photo! The fencing is down at newly resurfaced Delridge Playfield. As reported here earlier this week, the turf work was scheduled to finish today, with official reopening tomorrow. This comes three months after work began – one month faster than the original estimate. (The project had a few non-turf components that readers have noted aren’t quite done yet, though.)

Woo hoo, glad to have it back open! The contractors are still finishing up the new ADA compliant path in the northeastern corner, but the field itself is accessible again, and it’s looking slick. Thanks to the people who put hard work into getting it returfed!

Of course when we went by yesterday there was a lady with her dog.  Seriously, why?!?!

Thank You to the hard working crews that put in all the effort!  And shame on you dog people who are already letting your dogs run wild on the new surface. Apparently, like the orange haired guy that once was the POTUS, the rules and laws don’t apply to you.

I just heard that the wiring for field lights was stolen. Can WSB confirm with Parks?

Sorry, comment time is over.
