ORCA ALERT: In view off Alki

9:38 AM: Donna Sandstrom from The Whale Trail says seven resident orcas are in view right now from Alki Statue of Liberty Plaza. They’ve been in the area for a while again this morning – here’s a photo Danny McMillin took:

    Happy passengers on the Chimacum ferry run. Looking at the guy cheering with his arms up gives me goosebumps. a lot of the passengers are looking at Mike j26 who is on the other side of the boat

    Something just breached off Alki about 11:50, further east past the end of the sand.
