About the police response at West Seattle Stadium

We’ve received several questions about a police response in the parking lot at West Seattle Stadium. SFD was originally dispatched on an “assault with weapons” call at 3:15 pm; a person was found dead inside a car, and SPD just told us at the scene that it’s a suspected case of suicide. They are awaiting the Medical Examiner.

If you or someone you know are having thoughts of self-harm, the Crisis Clinic’s 24-hour hotline is is 206-461-3222.

I’m sorry to hear the sad news. As a person who has called the crisis hotline, I can’t recommend them enough. The national crisis center is also good. The holidays can be very hard times but there are amazing people ready to look after you if you are feeling alone, sick or afraid.

We live in the apartments behind and my husband just told me he saw a car sitting in the lot since last week, windows fogged up but he saw the outline of someone in car.  Should we tell police this information?  Older gray sedan, was that the description?

      Yes, do report to police.

Sorry, comment time is over.
