As reported here previously, today was announced as the new Brickyard BBQ restaurant (2310 California SW)’s opening day – so we went by a short time ago to see if they had already swung open the doors – not yet, but we were told by those working on finishing touches that they’ll open today at 4. They’re almost exactly across the street from another new restaurant, Porterhouse, which is now in its third week of operation.(WSB photo by Christopher Boffoli)
We’ve had a crisis here at HQ (broken water heater, flooded basement) but someone will be heading that way shortly to check in – TR
I dunno, its now 4:10 and I don’t think I can hold out any longer, all I have to say is, it had better be good!! Actually, that would be the worst thing for my waistline.
Lisa, on the Facebook thread where this discussion is also taking place, says she dropped in at 4:10 and was told they’ll be open at 5.
Oh, yummy…..I’ve had Bar-B-Q on the mind for days now. Must find Bar-B-Q, must find Bar-B-Q….hope to get my fix there soon…..waistline be damned….
What a HUGE disappointment! They are going to have to really step it up or they will be out of business in 6 months… I was there last Saturday and Sunday both days they ran out of food by 7PM… When you only have 10 items on the menu you can’t afford to be running out of food so early, especially RIBS? Food was okay, service was terrible… I really hope they get their act together as they have really good BBQ sauce and a great location…
Sad excuse for what they try and pass for pulled pork!!!! Yeah their new, but there is no reason for what they but on my plate and served. I tend to belive bbq is a question how can I possilby eat all on this plate of love, there was none of that served here, and not to confuse quantity with quality. I was expecting a real meal instead, got of a bellyfull of excuses.
