What a Bellevue SWAT team was doing in West Seattle

Thanks to the folks who called earlier this afternoon to say they saw a SWAT team around Delridge/Holden. We actually saw the vehicle go by (although not in any particular hurry) at the start of the aforementioned problem-properties tour – and noticed the vehicle quite clearly marked “Bellevue.” Checked with the media liaison at Bellevue Police, who would only say they were “serving a warrant” as part of an “ongoing investigation.” ADDED 8:23 PM: WSB photojournalist Christopher Boffoli points out it’s the same house from the second part of this recent story he covered.

ADDED FRIDAY NIGHT: Another photo, from Tony Bradley:

Isn’t that the house that usually has the chickens running around the front yard?

    Yes.
    .
… and within sight of the Precinct too…

Darn tootin’ within sight, and within a block of the Southwest Precinct. This is GOOD NEWS, that garbage hole needs to be cleaned up. There’s more than just chickens running around the front yard, the ‘residents’ of that home are BAD NEWS.

Love the stealth camo! Maybe they should have approached from the wooded side.

I didn’t even notice the chicken in the second photo (which came from contributor Tony Bradley) while cropping it, till you guys pointed it out … TR

Very amusing…just yesterday as I passed this property, a group of 3 or 4 young boys (likely 10-12 y.o.) were practicing their Slim-Jim skills on a car window at that property. Nice neighbors indeed.

Being from Bellevue, they might have discovered that someone over here was walking somewhere (illegal within the city limits of Bellevue) and sent the team.

That’s reminiscent of an Almost Live sketch plot line …
