Holiday greenery

Walking behind West Seattle’s Most Famous Politician and spouse Sharon Nickels in this morning’s downtown holiday parade was a posse of people in green T-shirts emblazoned in white, SAVE SANTA (you can catch a glimpse in our photo above). Turns out that’s the latest offshoot of the city climate-change-fighting campaign.

It seems to me it would have been better for the climate if he had walkeddd….what a wasteful use of fossil fuels. For a somewhat different perspective read “Cool It” by Bjorn Lomberg. I know I risk being called a “denier” but someone has to call bs on some of this stuff. All of these lightbulbs come from China who knows what the factory conditions are or the environmental damage that is done while making these.

We can’t find online proof but we suspect the vehicle had some kind of alternative-fuel capability … it was a Mercedes with a license plate something like SUNPOWR. Biodiesel, perhaps?

Now that Mr. Gore has parlayed all his medals into a multi-billion $ ‘green’ venture capital company, the green will be coming to him hand over fist. It’s been noted that when you factor in water vapor, us humans contribute less than 1/2% of the CO2 emissions to the mix….but we do like playing god.

I know for certain this car was run on green energy. You can clearly see it’s powered by West Seattle’s Most Famous Windbag: Mayor Nickels.

Anyone know how much Al Gore has made over this AWG effort he has been screaming about the past few years.

I’l give you guys a bit of info. When the election was over in 2000 he was worth approximatly $1 Million, as of 2006 has net worth had grown to over $100 million. Not bad for 6 years of doing nothing but “praying” (sic) on the fears of AWG

One more thing…Does anyone know where I can find out how many “Carbon Credits” I own. I would like to sell some of them because I KNOW I don’t contribute all that much carbon.

And for those that want to call me a denier…I will bet anyone $20.00 that they COULD NOT live a “Carbon Free” lifestyle for 12 consecutive hours, I’ll even let you pick the 12 hours you think you can live “carbon free.”

Frank’s $1 mil-to-$100 mil citation was interesting so we looked it up and found this article. Very difficult to find other information that’s not from sites with known political leanings in either direction, however.
