Lunar eclipse, first look

2:05 am, blurry but you get the idea. Very easy to see if you look high in the SW sky:

    Anybody still up … 2:54 am, it’s now “total” and apparently will stay that way for more than an hour.

    we couldn’t have asked for a better night to see it! was up at 2:19 and at 3:15. gorgeous. still beautiful as i write this at 6:20 as it seems to drop into the water.

    I stayed up until about 3:15am, could sit at my computer and watch the whole thing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a total lunar eclipse like that ever before..was just terrific. And then I got the tireds :)
