Think twice before you pull over

Or at least, look closely … seems there’s a fake cop on the loose in WS, last seen on Fauntleroy, not far from Fairmount Park.

That is creepy! I was taught by cop friends not to pull over at night when alone unless in a public area.

Hey, couldn’t find your email, any word on what is happening now over east of Westwood Village? There are 3 helicopters in the air right now, 911 dispatch website saws “Trench Rescue” with many units that started around 315pm. It says 9500 block of 13th Ave SW

I checked with a friend of mine who is a cop who said that, basically, if one is being pulled over, the rule of thumb is to do so as quickly as possibly but also as safely as possible (including traffic around you as well as you yourself feeling safe). He advised that any legitimate officer should understand your concern if you drive a little farther to a more well-lit and/or public area rather than pulling over in a dark area or place where you feel you may be at risk. Just passing on the advice…take care, everyone!
