Lost black tabby in Highland Park – July 31, 2014 12:12 am

My newly adopted cat escaped Monday afternoon from 11th SW Ave & Portland in Highland Park. He’s a very dark tabby with light colored undercoat, about a year old, green eyes, and he is neutered. He has a shaved patch on his right front leg from the vet. Probably a tabby mix with some Siamese as he is very talkative. As he was new it me he doesn’t have a name but he’s so talkative & friendly he will answer to ‘meow’ ! Britt 206.437.4924

I live in your area and would be willing to help search, I also have access to traps if needed.

Is he microchipped or was he wearing a collar?

Make sure you go in person and fill out the forms, and look in person.
Also, inform wherever you adopted him from as they can get the word out further.
    Some advice:
Put his dirty litter outside, the smell will travel and help guide him if he needs it. Also, put an article of your clothing out. (This may not help as you were not “connected” yet, but maybe the blankets he traveled home in the cage?)
With the coyotes and other critters, food is not recommended. Does your cat have a way to get inside if he does come back? If not, make sure there is a safe place to hang out.
Bug your neighbors, knock on doors and ask to personally check sheds, garages, out buildings, etc. (it is your cat, you care much more than your neighbors and they may say they will look around but…) a scared cat can get into some very tiny spaces.
There are also some great tips here…

    Sending compassion, and good thoughts.

Blessed be, may your kitty return home safely and quickly!
