Does this kitty have a home? – January 24, 2013 3:25 am

This black kitty has stopped by our house several times over the last year, but we are seeing him/her regularly now. Seems to be sad and hungry, with a weak meow. He/she likes attention and is comfortable coming inside the house (though my cats aren’t happy about it at all). We are particularly concerned now because some kind on incident has scrapped all the fur off back ankle area (not shaved). Seems to be walking okay and has no visible of swelling or infection. We live between Trenton & Henderson on 38th Ave SW. We are hoping that this kitty has a home that he/she goes to when he wanders off from our house. 206-935-1903.

Is it wearing a collar? He kind of looks like my cat, but he is wearing a neon yellow collar with a bell and we like down on Alki Ave. Plus, no one would ever call is meow weak. ;)

My other black cat has been missing since mid-Dec. but this doesn’t look like him. Is this cat larger or smaller in size, does it have a kink at the end of his tail?

I don’t think this is my current cat nor my missing cat, but I thought I would check in. Thank you.

I have no helpful info, but I love that picture.

Elle – This black kitty is on the small side of medium. I’ve never seen a collar on him and doesn’t have kinks in his tail. Thanks for checking though.

Just an FYI…We have a cat that comes by our house too, has been for the last year or more we thought she was a stray but it turns out a family 2 doors down owns her. You might want to go door to door in your neighborhood like we did to see if this cat is owned by someone close to you.

My black cat has been missing since mid July so not a whole year. His name is Nacho and he has long legs. I can’t tell by the picture if it’s him. He does have a microchip. He is really friendly.

Melissa – Sorry that your kitty has been missing for so long. Hopefully he is safe and well-taken care of wherever he ended up – though sad he isn’t with you. For this kitty, it’s definitely been at least a year since I first saw him. I guess someone must be taking care of him if he’s made it a whole year in the neigborhood. All the fur being scraped off his ankle made me worry though. I haven’t seen the kitty again since I posted his picture last week.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully that kitty has a warm place to sleep at night. Thanks for posting.
