You probably haven’t heard about this on your cable news but the Occupy Wall Street folks have put together a large volunteer network to help the storm relief on the East Coast…

I guess that grassroots organizing can come in handy in times of need. I haven’t found the TEA party group that surely is organizing to help their fellow Americans. Anybody heard?

Don’t be ridiculous, but I am thinking you are. The Tea Party Patriots and others are well aware of the problems that Hurricane Sandy created.

Every day people who are part of the Tea Party are giving, and not trying to politicize their charity.

I am glad Occupy is helping out. Great.

Couldn;t you have at least tried for once not to be partisan about this?

I do get tired of the partisanship. Just go do good, help out…it’s not a contest. Doesn’t matter what you label yourself. !

Anybody can send 10 bucks to the Red Cross. I was talking about on the ground organizing which, if you bother to read the article, is what the Occupy folks are doing.

on the ground organizing is what the structure the Occupy movement has created is designed to do well. They have evolved into a local problem solving organization that is producing solid results… this time int he wake of Sandy.

They don’t do it to make the Tea Party look bad.

they do it because it needs to be done.

It really is too bad that the media has chosen to ignore the good work they are doing.

Locally, the Occupy movement has taken up the cause of homelessness and are working to build the kind of coalitions that can make a difference in individual lives.

Those who think the Occupy movement is finished just aren’t looking in the right places.

I did read it. I have nothing more to say other than I am glad people are helping people. But if you think you are Kahn in Star Trek, by all means, keep tooting your horn. Well, I do have one more thing to say. The daily kos just loves the Tea Party, doesn’t it!!! To poop on!!!!

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

so… reporting what the Occupy Movement does is pooping on the tea party?

or do you think that because what the Occupy movement is doing throws a light on the differences between the nature of the two movements that you would rather not acknowledge?

    like them or not..

the Occupy movement has never been a political group funded or inspired from the top..

they are what a grassroots community action political group looks like.

and this is what a community action political group does in a disaster…

they take care of their community.
