I wonder why people even buy/have Hondas.  You are just asking to get your car stolen if you have one.

Actually not true … the vulnerability rests with this particular group of mostly ’90s sedans. We had a 2002 Civic for 12 years and it was past the danger zone. Not to say there’s any theft-proof car, of course …

Catherine, thanks for your insight!  You’re SUPER helpful.  Do you mind listing some more ways of how people are asking to be victimized?

I’ve had my car broken into twice at Westcrest and have seen MANY other cars broken into there as well.  I now park at the north end smaller lot and haven’t had any trouble since.  Really irritating that you cannot go to the dog park without expecting to have your car broken into or stolen…

Sorry about your break-in, Erik…unfortunately, we always park in the small lot and 3 of us were all broken into last year…no safe places, unfortunately! And yes, really irritating!

Sorry, comment time is over.
