West Seattle summer camps: How about learning rugby?

One more addition to our roundup of West Seattle summer camps (initiated after some camp providers sent word they still had room for kids to sign up): 2-time Rugby 7s World Cup Champion Waisale Serevi and his team from Serevi Rugby are teaching “the basics of seven-a-side rugby” in four sessions at Hiawatha Playfield this summer. The introductory camps are for ages 7-18, both genders. More info and online registration at serevirugby.com. (Our previously published list of camps is here – no guarantees they all still have room, but if you’re looking, it’s worth checking!)

Rugby is a fast paced, action packed game. As an Aussie ex-pat, I love to watch the game. Send your kids down, they will love it :)

The US will be defending the Olympic Gold Medal in Rugby in 2016 in Rio. There is a GREAT chance we could see some Olympians in the photo.

Thank you for posting this! This will be an excellent camp (non-contact under 14) for an amazing price – safe, fun and active.

Current & Former members of the USA & Fiji National team will be in attendance.

Waisale Serevi is the Pele of Rugby 7’s. Big, big star–very talented. And, Fiji is a major contender in the Rugby 7’s field–when we lived there, Fiji won the Melrose Cup. What a time to be there! Blinkyjoe is correct: it will be at 2016 Olympics.

Sorry, comment time is over.
