I am a union construction electrician, however the waiting list at my union hall to get a job is over two years long. Therefore, I am trying to use my electrician's skills, in combination with my other skills in refurbishing older homes, to supplement my unemployment check and stay afloat. I have completely remodeled two houses of my own. I own most of the tools needed in home renovation. I am a middle age lady, but I put up my brother's kitchen cabinets by myself using a 2 x 4 stringer to support them. I put subway tile in my bathroom using a wet saw, installed linoleum, refinished two wood floors using various floor sanders, installed plumbing in two bathrooms and kitchens (including sweating copper). In general, I like to do things myself. I am not a professional home remodeler, but I am a hard worker, will listen carefully to what you envision for your project, and need minimal supervision.
