Does anyone know of a decent Laundromat in West Seattle that is clean and not overpriced? I usually go to the one at Admiral but it’s crowded so I tried one on 35th this evening near Mars Hill. It was AWFUL! I had to wash one load twice b/c it didn’t spin properly and then had to spend twice as much money on the dryers since they didn’t work well either. I wanted to fill out a complaint card to get a refund, but there were none, imagine that! Anyway, I’ll stick to Admiral for now since their machines work well, but avoid the one I went to tonight on 35th.

The West Seattle Coin Laundry, across from the Admiral Theater, has a special on Wednesdays – $1 for each regular washer. They’re $1.50 on other days. They also have extra large, $3.50, and huge, $4.50, washers. The place has a much used look, but is cleaned every day, I think. Although I avoid the place on weekends and after 5:00 PM, I’ve always found washers available when I do go in.

Right in the Alaska Junction is a tiny sliver of a laundromat, I think between the thai place (Tom Yun Toon or something similar) and a teriyaki spot.

I used it once about 2 years ago and didn’t have any problems. My favorite one though is the Admiral location on California.
