I’m having a hard time finding a local hair salon who would be willing to do some dramatic (talking about super-bright) streaks in my hair. Anyone know of a place near the Junction that isn’t afraid to do some unconventional hairstyles? Thanks!

Illusions does great color! I have also heard good things about Ola.

Chelsea from Ola for Color, Chelsea or Dawn from Ola for cuts

I have been to both Ola and illusions. Although I paid a bit more to go to Ola- they win hands down. They really listen to what you want and do a great job!

When happening onto a thread like this, we always like to note who’s on the WSB sponsor team – in or near The Junction, it’s Illusions as already mentioned

and also Brunette Mix (on Oregon west of California) – service info here:

I’ve had my hair nicely tended to at both (but will admit I have never done color, nature is working on those dramatic silver streaks) … Good luck!

I have to jump in and once again RAVE about Ross at Ola salon. He does an AMAZING job with color and cut. He uses pigments instead of dyes and from what I understand, they are more vibrant. My daughter gets her hair brightly colored and gets a lot of compliments on it. Here are some of my previous posts.

You won’t regret it. Give Ross a call.

Megan at http://www.ShantiSalonSpa.com does bright color panels and foils. Cool stuff.

Monica at Illusions rocks! For one, she has fun streaks of purple in her hair :) But listens to what you want and is great for helping when you want to add a little extra oomph (outside the norm colors). Totally recommend her!

My wife raved about Tram when she was at Budget Cuts, and still raves about her now that she has her own shop!

Definitely if you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg call Tram!

Tram at Tram’s Salon is fantastic. She is very reasonably priced and does a fantastic job. She would do any bright color you want. I also know that she plans on carrying the feather extensions too!

I agree that Tram is Fantastic! I used to think I had to pay an arm & at least a foot to get my hair cut/colored… until I started going to Tram at BCuts about 2 years ago. I was really happily surprised to see that she’s keeping her prices low at her own salon!

I have super FINE hair (that any stylist will tell you is a pain in the butt to do Foils on) and she always takes her time to do it right. For what I’ve paid in the past at other salons (often for less than desirable results) for 1 cut/foil… I could have a year’s worth of hair care with Tram!
