I would like to buy some local, West Seattle honey. I understand it’s usually available at the WS Farmer’s Market, but I seem to be less ambitious on Sunday mornings. :) Is there anyplace else I can buy local honey collected in West Seattle?

I remember seeing it in the Husky Deli in the past but I haven’t been there in awhile to know if they still carry it. Worth a phone call…

Check with Shipwreck Honey – they are local and have great products.

Looks like they sell it at a lot of local places as well as personal deliveries.

*in our day-to day travels we deliver alot of honey to folks we simply meet on the street or have a pre-arranged delivery. Feel free to email daniel@shipwreckhoney.com if you want a delivery setup. Its easy, takes less than 5 minutes and most times you never leave your car!

Both Bird on a Wire (35th and Henderson) and Admiral Bird (California and Admiral) sell ship wreck honey.

you could also check with Village Green Perennial Nursery … they do beekeeping (and offer classes & supplies) and I’m pretty sure they still sell local honey too

PSBA sells their honey at West Seattle Produce. Their honey is great because it’s all local, natural, AND they don’t take too much honey from the bees, making sure to leave enough for winter. Important!! They also sell Shipwreck honey and another local brand. AND they have honey sticks. :)

A good question for a beekeeper is: “Are your bees making it through the winter?” This will give you a good gauge of how they are caring for their bees.
