WOW, JanS! I guess, technically, “he” still is a woman, so it isn’t that weird that he conceived.

Who impregnated him? They don’t disclose if they used outside help. I guess they must have.

This is not that uncommon, though it’s uncommon for it to get media coverage. Many transmen decide to stop hormones and have child(ren) and then go back on hormones. I wouldn’t say it’s a majority of transmen, but I know of a few in this area, and some others in other cities.

My partner is a transguy, and while neither of us is interested in having children (as a social worker, he raises other people’s children for a living), it’s not all that weird to me to see a guy decide to do this. I mean, really, if he still has the equipment, why not?

JanS – Yeah I bet he does. On the other hand, most folks are so entrenched in seeing what they expect to see, that they probably “see” a dude with a beer belly. It’s certainly interesting seeing how people’s reactions have changed to my partner over the last 18 months. That’s a conversation for another day over a beer. :-)
