gxnxParticipantAm surprised WSB did not cover this story or they rather cover soft news like the opening of a supermarket.
Boiling point: Who towed garbage-filled RV to council member’s house?

UPDATE: The Dori Monson Show may have found out who towed the RV, but additional fact-checking is required before the tip can be confirmed. Tune into the show at noon on Thursday to find out the latest.Things are getting fast and furious in Seattle. My show prep blew up Wednesday morning when a Seattle Times reporter called our news desk and informed us that last night someone towed an RV in front of Seattle City Councilmember Lisa Herbold’s house.
KIRO Radio Reporter Carolyn Ossorio went to the scene in West Seattle and observed that the RV was uninhabitable and filled with garbage, emitting an odor.
“It’s the perfect vehicle for somebody who is wanting to prove a point,” she told us.

jeffhParticipantThe RV already got issued a 72-hour tow notice. What a hypocrite!!! It’s okay to park for 30 days in front of businesses and flood average Joe’s neighborhoods. But don’t park one of these rat-infested heroin dens in front of a council member’s house. Lisa Herbold is a hypocrite. Looks like the police are only allowed to enforce the 72-hour notice for council members.

gxnxParticipantAll politicians are hypocrites, self serving.

GebusParticipantI love this. Sorry not sorry but they should park one or more of these every single day until these city council members wake up and let SPD do it’s job.
Hey @WSB why literally no coverage of this? Seems like biased reporting IMHO, if you look up Herbold on the site everything is pretty overwhelmingly positive. . .

gxnxParticipantReports mentioned that she does not even live in W.Seattle full time.

newnativeParticipantWSB doesn’t cover stories that are half-baked like this one. The RV was parked there coincidentally by homeless people that had just purchased the vehicle, intending to clean it before moving in. The RV was vandalized after word spread (falsely) that this was a stunt. Once the real story came out and Lisa met the owners of the RV, she extended her own driveway to them. Pretty telling indeed.

Susanna23ParticipantWOW really she extended her own driveway for them to park and live there?
October 11, 2019 at 8:42 pm #961847
gxnxParticipantCan we all park our RVs there too?
October 13, 2019 at 8:43 am #961955
valvashonParticipantSorry, but this doesn’t pass my sniff test. A woman who is 10 weeks pregnant buys a garbage filled RV trailer for $1 to clean it out and live in it? After you fill a trailer with garbage like that you can’t really get it clean now can you? Reports are that a U-Haul truck towed it there and left it, so somebody paid at least $200 or so to move it and had good enough credit to rent a U-Haul. But this supposedly wasn’t the trailer’s final resting spot, so there would have to be another truck rental for another couple of hundred dollars. I know we are living in desperate times but none of this behavior is logical. Congratulations to Lisa Herbold for doing the right thing by sharing her driveway in whatever manner she did but this still feels like a political stunt by the previously accused parties.

VanessaParticipantThis whole thing smells. I am hating politics.
October 15, 2019 at 7:20 am #962107
Um NoParticipant@newnative – Did she extend her invitation to park in her driveway before or after she reported the trailer for being illegally parked? LOL. She realized how bad this could look so of course she made the “political” move offer up her driveway. What a joke.
Any yes, this whole thing doesn’t pass the smell test.
October 15, 2019 at 9:13 am #962110
newnativeParticipantWho said she reported the RV? The report says a neighbor reported it, which led to a radio show finding out about and spreading the news-which led to the vandalism, the reporter trespassing the RV and eventually a violent confrontation where a person threatened the pregnant woman with a knife, after throwing a bottle at her. Y’all love making up stuff to fill in the blanks, but when presented with actual facts you don’t believe it.

gxnxParticipantLizard does not even live in W.Seattle, she is living with her hubby in N.Bend. How is she going to represent us?
October 21, 2019 at 3:54 am #962565
JeannieParticipantDori Monson is insufferable. He loves the publicity and the ratings it brings him. I hate those RVs as much as you all do, but I have no respect for blowhard Dorothy.

gxnxParticipant“Dori Monson is insufferable. He loves the publicity and the ratings it brings him.”
very funny- so are the politicians!!

melissaParticipantYou’re not making a very substantive case with that name-calling, gxnx. Also, what’s your evidence that Herbold lives in North Bend?

koshaParticipantI can’t believe Herbold tried to get Ari arrested over this, she’s clearly not fit for office
Rantz: Lisa Herbold urged Seattle police chief to investigate political rival
